Tuesdays July 3, 10, 17, 24, & 31 6-9pm

+ Weekend Farm-Dance Retreat, July 20-22

(Beginning Friday, July 20th at 6pm with a community offering, intimate performance and celebration Sunday, July 22nd at 6pm)

From right inside the city, let’s turn off our phones, turn off our lives and tune in to the land and to each other. Stepping out of the usual models of economic exchange, workshop participants will offer their time and labor to the land, and to the future visions of the farm in a barter of dance experiences, led by Mizu Desierto. Plan to put your feet deeply in the earth and invoke the primal, the hidden, and the healing. We might also dig a garden bed…clear a field of weeds…paint a shed in a rainbow…or deep clean a chicken coop. Expect an equal experience of work and dance…but also a blurring of the lines…can our work become dance? Can our dance become our work?

*For the weekend retreat, participants are expected to stay at the farm and inside of the experience, as they would in an out-of-town retreat. We will turn off our phones and computers, in favor of spaces of silence and sharing. Participants will need to bring mats and sleeping bags (and tents if they like).
